The U.S. Embassy, Abuja is seeking to employ a suitable and qualified candidate for the position of a Warehouseman in the General Services Office (GSO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
•Incumbent processes non-expendable requests for property, picks-up items from storage areas and moves them to the warehouse. He/she may be required to make minor electrical changes like changing plugs and fuses. Incumbent is responsible for moving property to authorized storage areas after confirming with the receiving supervisor. Incumbent performs housekeeping duties in the storage areas to ensure clean and safe environment; as well as assist in conducting inventories.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

•Completion of Secondary School is required.
•Minimum of one (1) year experience in supply/warehousing is required.
•Level III (good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading English is required.
•Knowledge of warehouse storage and property handling practices is required.
•Must be able to perform moderately heavy work and heavy lifting.
SELECTION PROCESS:
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

•Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.

REMUNERATION:
•Salary: Or Ordinarily Resident (OR) – N1,742,672 p.a. (Starting basic salary) Position Grade: FSN-02
•In addition to the basic salary, all allowances will be paid in accordance with the Mission Local Compensation Plan.
•Nor – AEFM, EFM/MOH – US$20,217 p.a. (Starting Salary) Position Grade: FP-CC

• Partner Relations. Manage logistics partner relationships, identify & address problematic areas, and monitor their day-to-day operations.
• Develop new processes to help logistics partners operate efficiently and ensure correct on-time deliveries
• Develop and optimize existing Processes. Scale them up quickly but diligently, so they withstand growing volumes
• Analytics. Heavy analysis of logistics KPIs to properly track delivery company performance and ensure high-quality buying and selling experiences on Kaymu.
• Hustle. Take ownership of Kaymu Abuja logistics operations and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW/HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or similar field
• A minimum of one years’ experience within a logistics or supply chain function
• Solid understanding of an online marketplace operations and logistics setup
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
• Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
• Flexibility, resilience and desire to learn
