Whoever blocked Linda Ikeji Blog is Anti-Hardwork

I read with surprise that google.com blocked Linda Ikeji Blog on the grounds of a purported report by a self acclaimed cyber squatter popularly known as Ayedee who claims Linda Ikeji is a plagiarist even without very hard evidence.

While one cannot single handedly change the internal company policy of an IT giant like google.com which is to first pull down the site before reaching the blogger for counter claims as a pre-condition to returning back access. The facts I know is that all over the world, Bloggers are engaged in content replication and this is how the blogging world generates buzz.

I do not know Linda but its glaring to all that she has worked her way up the ladder. 10 years ago, nobody knew anything about blogging as a commercial venture in Nigeria. This young lady started it and today we have the likes of Olodo Nation, Tech Crunch, Tech Moran, omo odua e.t.c.

Some versions of the story states that the attack on Linda Ikeji's blog became more ferocious after she shared pictures of her new Land rover jeep worth 20+ million naira. Such people will only be making themselve appear quite cheap, feeble minded and seriously misinformed of the pot of gold on which they are sitting i.e. Information marketing.

The least people like Linda deserve is fair competition and recognition where they do well. Any attempt at mud slinging, back bitting and financial blackmail to pull her down is simply anti hardwork and doesnt augur well for our young blogosphere market space. If anything, Nigeria needs alot more quality bloggers to drive quality competition in the market space. This is potentially a $2billion per annum business waiting for the Ayedees of this world to use their time for more positive and valuable contribution and make this pie bigger.

It behoves on all of us who have a stake in the young electronic commerce sector in Nigeria and Africa at large to rise and speak up against this injustice.

For Linda, Keep pushing...

EXCLUSIVE: Pastor Oyakhilome’s wife finally files for divorce in London court, alleges adultery

The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase, TheCable can report.

The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”.
She outlined several allegations against the pastor which TheCable cannot publish for legal reasons.

The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.
Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed.

They have two teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn.
Oyakhilome is the president of Believers’ Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the vice-president.

The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adultery and believes his wife is being influenced by “bad friends” who are intent on destroying their home.
While Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband has reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry.

Sources told TheCable that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind.

However, TheCable can also report that the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK.
Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card (“decree absolute”) if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings.
Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London.
The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued

Hotels.ng is a scam!

In this age of increasing acceptance of e-commerce in Nigeria, Some ignoble elements parading themselves as online commerce businesses are bent on damaging the reputation of honest operators.

I had an emergency and had to travel to Lagos last weekend for a day and needed a quiet place to stay...As a former proponent of e-commerce (having worked in Konga.com), I headed online for convenience and found this site hotels.ng

My booking was confirmed electronically by e-mail and by SMS on Thursday. I equally called on the contact number on their website and got verbal confirmation before I set out from Port Harcourt to Lagos on Monday evening. After several delays due to bad weather and ....I guess simple age long inefficiency, Our flight NG320 on aero arrived LOS airport by 10pm.

Long story short, I got to Unilag Guest House by 11pm very exhausted very eager to shower and sleep off. On getting to the counter, the lady initially checked all though their reservations and stated "Oga, No reservations in your name" I said this is impossible as I couldnt even imagine leaving campus that night in search of another space.

After pressing hard, The guest house staff gave me the true picture: Hotels.ng staff came to the Unilag guest house, marketed the package to the management, without waiting for any feedback; whether approved, declined or not...Hotels.ng hosted Unilag Guest House as one of their hotels and even willing to collect payments upfront if the customer falls for it. I understand I am the 3rd of such victims to the online scam of Hotels.ng

I ended up paying for a room 300% more expensive than my original booking on Hotels.ng, and the extra budgetary expenditures made me loose sleep half the night.

This is very terrible experience. We are building a new system of business in Nigeria online and the trust quotient is still very low with over 70% of customers preferring to pay online. The last thing that burgeoning sector needs is deception, Erroneus posting or outright fraud which I suspect are all fatal flaws in the Hotels.ng posting of Unilag Guest House as their subscribing hotels.

If dem like...They should "Kontunu" One day, Monkey go go market, e no go see road to come back again!

Ebola Drug May be here Sooner than we Thought...

Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc, a company in San Diego, has come up with an experimental Ebola treatment which appears to be working on two Americans who were infected with the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia.

The biotechnology drug is ZMapp, and it is produced with tobacco plants. Up until recently, the drug hadn’t been certified for humans as it had only been tested on animals.

Its use has now made the two health workers get better.

The first patient, Kent Brantly, a doctor, who was flown from Liberia to Atlanta on 2 Aug, is receiving treatment at Emory University Hospital, while Nancy Writebol, an aid worker, is scheduled to arrive in Atlanta today, 5 August, and will be treated at the same hospital.

Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases disclosed that each patient received at least one dose of ZMapp in Liberia before coming to the United States.

He said, “There’s a very scarce number of doses,” and it’s not clear how many each patient needs for treatment. I’m not sure how many doses they’ll get.

There is no cure for Ebola, although several companies, including ‘Mapp are working on drug candidates that are undergoing animal testing to find a permanent cure for the deadly disease.

Thank you Blessing Okagbare

In writing this small piece, I ruminate over 2 very touching quotes of great people in the past:

I dread success. To have succeeded is to have finished one's business on earth, like the male spider, who is killed by the female the moment he has succeeded in his courtship. I like a state of continual becoming, with a goal in front and not behind. ~ George Bernard Shaw

Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom. ~ George S. Patton

The reason why I love quoting Bernard Shaw is for the simple fact that a Literatue Giant has no business establishing a Globally recongnised School of Economics for the fact that they live in a world that is probably too fictional and withdrawn from reality to fully grasp the data based theories of the world of economics BUT not for the humble English playwright Mr Shaw.

From the quote above , Its clear that no human being alive has a right to give up on their ambitions, hope and aspirations irrespective of how much glory they have attained or for how long they have sustained it. Blessing Okagbare made every Nigerian and every African proud yesterday. She was dominant from beginning to end and what makes it more interesting was the way she humbled the Jamaican giants Stewart and Campbell to clinch the 100m and 200m Athletics gold medal in the on-going Commonwealth games Glasgow 2014.

Here is a lady who many Nigerians justifiably hissed in agony when she came 7th in the London 2012 olympics after showing so much promise in the heats and semi finals of same competition. The same jamaicans all performed better than her in that competition. Now she is head and shoulder ahead of them and very rightly so.

In life, I have learnt never to stop dreaming and never to stop winning for therein is the essence of life itself...Even the bible says ''I wish above all things that you will prosper, evern as your soul prospereth".

Blessing has done very well but she is a half baked Legend still in the hands of the goldsmith, I hope she keeps training harder and getting better till when the refined gold is set before the world to see come Olympics in Rio 2016 and beyond.

Having said this I come to the crux of the matter,
  • Special thanks to you Blessing for making all of us Nigerians very proud. Ten Gbosa for you.
  • Special thanks to Gov. Uduaghan for investing in Blessing Okagbare & sponsoring her training programmes. For all the support you have given to Blessing, the world has a reason to celebrate her today.
  • Special thanks to all her primary school teachers who saw her physique as an asset rather than a liability and by so doing gave birth to the champion she is today. I wish I could name all of you one by one on this column.
God Bless Nigeria!

#BBOG Protests not the key to Solving Terrorism

I recently over heard of a 10 years girl who was caught strapped with explosives in Kaduna State yesterday. If this story is confirmed to be true, then it makes nonsense of the #BBOG campaigners who claim its the Chibok girls that wre been used as suicide bombers. All Chibok girls are SSCE candidates and at least no Nigerian of 10 years age bracket has entered for SSCE in its entire history.

Each time I hear the theories propounded by the #BBOG group just to deride the presidency and gain vain recognition, its becomes very nauseating and apalling. No President will keep an eye

The truth is that we are dealing with a global monster (terorrism) and it takes more than sitting around unity fountain to tame it. It takes national psychology, all people speaking in same tone against the actors, their financiers and the faciltators.   As far as I am concerned, #Bringbackourgirls is a vain seeking, mis-directed, illogical and inconsequential effort that will yield no fruit, increase the brand value of Boko Haram while increasing the sorrows of the Chibok Parents and hightening the risk of Nigerians to further attacks.   Terrorism is a gobal phenomenom like Rape, Hunger, Human trafficiking, Prostitution, Poverty, War, Arson e.t.c and you do not treat it with kids gloves or talk carelessly about a goverment that is waging a war against such monsters. Every country in the world has a local version of terrorism it is dealing with and the only solution lies in our common united psyche.   Check out the following occurences:   1. Buhari spoke openly against Boko Haram and was attacked viciously after a few days. The Terorrist never wants us to speak as one against them hence the anger against Buhari. 2. Sheik Dahiru Bauchi was also targeted bacause of his consistent call on all Terrorist as agents of hell. 3. The Soldier man from Zone 9 Slaughtered by Boko Haram and the video openly displayed was asked to confirm if any villagers gave them soldiers information on the whereabout of BH insurgents.   This speaks to the fact that the terrorists are happier when our voices are divided and they get very irrascible and angry each time we speak united.   What is my advice to the #BringBackOurGirls campaigners, quite simple. Close shop, Turn your voices and advocacy against all forms of terrorism plus insist no form of it will stand in Nigeria. Organise awareness to make Our troops know we stand with them, Raise awareness for Family support for soldiers fighting against Boko Haram, Accept offers to mediate with Terrorist when called upon by Government, Set up Rural education support funds for children in the North eastern Nigeria.   Most importantly, A few words of adviser to my brothers and sisters in Unity fountain as I look forward to them joining government in its efforts to win this war, Boko Hara is a joint enemy of the government, the protesters, Chibok Community, Emergency States, North and Sourthern Nigeria & unknowingly...to the insurgents themselves.   1. Men's hearts ought not to be set against one another, but set with one another, and all against evil only 2. “The enemy, clearly, was the fanged nightmare–– of famine, of war and racism, of rape and terrorism… that walked in human skin while chomping human heads.”
3. Any unity which doesn't have its origin in the multitudes is tyranny.

4. Behold they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. -- Genesis 11:6

5. Even the weak become strong when they are united.
6. "The job facing American voters… in the days and years to come, is to determine which hearts, minds, and souls command those qualities best suited to unify a country rather than further divide it, to heal the wounds of a nation as opposed to aggravate its injuries, and to secure for the next generation a legacy of choices based on informed awareness rather than one of reactions based on unknowing fear."

7. We come to reason, not to dominate. We do not seek to have our way, but to find a common way.

Long Live Nigeria devoid of Terrorism, Vain Activism and Sectionalism.
I hope this is a voice of reason albeit a low profile one.

LOOSING WEIGHT...1000 steps after lunch

There are many ways to shed excess weight.
- Light eating
- Excercise
- Dieting
- Drugs
- Fasting (for those that are led by the spirit)
- Liposuction/Surgical procedures

All of these processes are of contestable plus and minus impact on the wholesomeness of the individuals health depending on what works for each individual.

Having been in my current place of work for past 4 months, one activity that may not be the final solution to all the issues but which I beleive works is corporate activity after lunch and dinner....It does help the digestion process to burn off a tangible quantity of calories before the freshly consumed portion settles in.
Its a simple kind of give and take. A thousand brisk steps will help burn off approximately 500 kilocal while a regular portion lunch or dinner will give you approximately 1000 Kilocal.

A team of 4 or 5 colleaques set out from the canteen after lunch, walk briskly around the premises for approximately 20 minutes; gisting as much as the  heart beat allow you to. Such time even gives one space to socialize and catch up on friends and colleaques from other buildings around the complex (for companies with multiple buildings but joint canteens.)

At the end you gain the following:

1. Good health - Weight management
2. Sharp mind/pace as replacement for slow start after lunch.
3. Stronger Bond & friendship in the work place.
4. Zero cost of gym expenses and better time management to burn the fats.
5. Good Culture could be taken out of office & re-applied in personal lives.

This is what I have learnt in this new place and it will always stay with me!
Voila...

Some steps to guide your brisk walk programme:

To maximize the benefits of any aerobic exercise, you must sustain an activity for at least 20 to 60 minutes at each session. If you are out of shape, start with a 10–minute workout and gradually add 2 minutes a week until you reach your goal.

Before you begin your walk, take a few moments to warm up by stretching your major muscle groups. Then, if you would like to transform a leisurely stroll into a bona fide workout, follow these guidelines used by the famous marathon walker Ruth Artz:

Take long strides using your gluteal muscles (the muscles in the buttocks) to propel you forward.

Bend your arms slightly, swinging them as you walk.

Stand up straight with your abdominal muscles tucked in.

Maintain a pace at which you are breathing deeply but can still carry on a conversation, although you would prefer not to.

If your breathing becomes labored and conversation difficult, you are working out too hard. Anytime you feel out of breath or have any pain, slow down or take a break. If these problems persist, consult your doctor.

Skills of a Strategic Negotiator

Over the years, this has been crystallized as the basic principles of masters in the negotiation business:

- Listen: Ability to hear and understand
- Empathize: Ability to wear the shoes of the other man/woman
- Disclose: Ability to state your side of the story and decisions that motivates acceptance & satisfaction.

Watch this space as I plan to digest all three sub heads and hopefully build more leaders in the negotiation that deliver business/personal/spiritual results on a consistent basis

If I were Tinubu...

There comes a time in every man's life when he's got to face the truth no matter what. When that time beckons, any attempt to hide the truth becomes increasingly self destructive and debiltating.

On the 21st June 2014, The people of Ekiti state in Nigeria voted massively in a free and fair manner for a grassroot man; Gov Elect Ayo Fayose. The victory was a landslide, the atmosphere was calm, the whole world acknowledged in consonance that there was near zero foul play in the entire process.

On this basis, I wish to congratulate the "Man of the people" for his victory of the incumbency that was out of touch with reality.

The point of my dicuss today is to lay in light what I perceive is the ending of an inglorious career for the Jagaban Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; who some phoney characters have decided to confer with the prestigious Leader of the political dynasty for purely self centered and personal vanity reasonings.

A certain population of young people in Nigeria who have not made serious headway in life before the advent of social media have taken it upon themselves to declare Tinubu as the Mr Do No Wrong of Nigeria politics. From day 1, I always took exception to their line of argument. The Tinubu I experienced in my first 1-3 years sorjourn in Lagos between 2006-2007 did not inspire me at all. The reasons too numerous to mention but I will attempt to name a few:

1. Tinubu was responsible for promoting thuggerism and hooliganistic tendencies in Lagos state; Oshodi, Mushin, Iyana Ipaja, Egbeda, Agege all has lords of the car parks who terrorised the common man on a daily basis between 2006-2007 leading to the untimely death of many commuters in this park. I escaped by the whiskers the onslaught of a certain "SAULA" who I understand was a Tinubu thug when i transited between Ikotun and Agege on a fateful monday. Daily disruption of activities by this thugs was common place. Tinubu's popularity is in many parts due to the free reign he gave to Thugs and Hooligans. Such a man cannot lead a well learned tribe like the Yorubas talk more Nigeria.

2. Tinubu started the stupendous borrowing from all manner of banks we had in Nigeria plus the stock markets with no meaningful justifaction on ground for all the indebtedness.

3. Tinubus company is responsible for tax collection in Lagos state and he has foisted his stooge Fowler as head of the LIRS to ease the flow of ilicit state funds to him as royalty for helping impose Fashola on Lagosisans (even though the decision has earned some good results ultimately)

4. Criminal take over of Lagos State Government in  4, Oyinkan Abayomi (formerly Queens) Drive, Ikoyi: 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi; The annex of the Lagos State Guest House in Asokoro, Abuja; The 250-hectare land valued at about N35billion and strategically located at the Ajah junction on Lekki Road; The 1,000 hectares of land valued at about N75billion located at Lakowe near Abijo at Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and given to Lekki Concession Company (LCC) which is partly- owned by Tinubu and Fashola and being developed as golf course and housing estate by Assets and Resource Management Ltd (ARM) as ADIVA project; The prime land of 157 hectares with 2.5km of Atlantic beachfront valued at about N10billion; The 14-hectare Parkview Ikoyi Estate foreshore land reclaimed by Lagos State Government; the former Strabag yard beside the Lagos State Secretariat at Alausa, Ikeja and many more.

5. Turning Lagos state into a fmily fiefdom by installing in laws, daughters and wife as House of rep members, Iyaloja and Senator respectively, The most annoying was the request of the Hardworking senator representing Lagos West and giving to his wife clearly negating history of performance and reputation.

I do not hate the man Tinubu but I am very much bewildered that any reasonable group of people will allow one man buy out their souls, heart and mind in the name of political followership. No individual can single handedly hold the fate of a people for too long. The Tinubu feast on the soul of Lagos state is about to end.

He is clearly rejected in disapora. Ekiti is the first to go....Osun will soon follow...Next will then be Oyo and Ogun before Lagos. The message for rig and roast will start in Lagos...Any attempt by Tinubu or his blind followers to rig the gubernitorial elections in lagos state will be met with "roasting"

The dynasty of Tinubu has collapsed for sure...The man cannot even win a free and fair election in Ikoyi talk less Nigeria. The death knell of the opposition APC will be sounded finally when they put forward the Jagaban Borgu for an elective position...His true worth will be shown.

You can dribble some of the people all the time, You can even dribble all of the people some of the time but YOU CAN NEVER DRIBBLE ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME.

It doesnt matter if Tinubu has all the western media and news editors in his payroll. The truth is the media alone in Nigeria (whether traditional or social) can not win elections as the Ekiti has shown, The people will always remember. Propagande may sway the international community but the national community has its ear to the ground and can see through all dummies people like Tinubu want to sell.

My candid advise is for Tinubu to retire for partisan politics as he clearly does not have the marketability to command a following when the chips are down, his many years of cutting deals that are anti people and for personal avarice has made him a persona non grate in the Nigeria political terrain. The 2015 elections will reveal more on how low he has fallen in the ranks of political leadership in Nigeria.

Personal Intergrity and been 'Intouch" with the masses are 2 traits of election winners and Tinubu clearly lacks both and may clearly have reached the island of political oblivion.

This is SO Untrue: No Nigeria is living on less than 1$ a day!

An English proverb says that a lie which is repeated over and over without any reprimand starts to gain the status of truth. This is really true for the constant reference to the theme that Nigeria is a country where most or half of the families live on 1 USD a day.

What is really surprising is the way and manner global financial institutions like the IMF, WORLD BANK e.t.c.that should know better have continued to harp on this as a way to create channels of neo colonialist governmental loans that is nothing more than financial slavery well packaged to guarantee loyalty of generations yet unborn in developing and under developed markets. For Nigerian politicians who latch unto that as a means to gain some political vantage points against the government and ministers of the government, I can understand...Its normal in Nigeria politics to engage dataless posturing and verbosical nonsensicality in the name of politics.

What I cannot forgive are those economists and well trained accountants who equally quote this whenever an opportunity arises to make a statement regarding the economic fortunes of Nigeria.

The poorest Nigerian eats mama put food a day; minimum spent is usually 100 Naira. Pays house rent of minimum 1000 Naira a month which translates to 33 Naira a day, makes one minute phone call of minimum 20 Naira a day, Clothes themselve with minimum 20 Naira a day, transportation minimum 50 Naira a day.

This is excluding, NEPA, WATER BOARD, WASTE MANAGEMENT, VILLAGE MEETING CONTRIBUTIONS, CHURCH/ZAKAAT OFFERINGS, GIFTS TO FRIENDS, e.t.c.
I am really in doubt that there is any individual in Nigeria who lives on less that 1 USD a day. That postulation is simply archaic, mythical, baseless and dubiotic nonsense.

There are many reasons to believe in the future of this country:

1. Nigerian economy is really evolving in all key facets, Over 70 million active telecom lines exist today signalling that half of Nigerians are able to own a phone and recharge them.
2. Nigeria has over 100 universities and each of them have over ten thousand students meaning over 1 million nigerians are able to get a university degree every 4 years. Add that to polytechnics, colleges of Education, Montechnics e.t.c, The number should be over 10 million.
3. Agriculture is getting funding like never before. We are getting down our food import budget every year and this is a good sign for self sustainability.
4. I like the look of Nigerian airports compared to 5 years ago.
5. New Investors are funding many start ups around Nigeria, Look at the Likes of Sim Shagaya, Efosa Omogui, Tunde Kehinde, Chika Nwobi, Jason Njoku, have all raised siginificant funding from Europe, Africa and US for their Tech start ups and in just 2 years are beginning to fund other techies.
6. Oil and Gas production is steady and Dangote is planning with other private investor to start refinning all of Nigerian petroleaum needs locally.
7. 2nd Niger bridge is already inuagurated. Lagos Ibadan Express renewal is under way, Benin Ore is worl class now and 10 lanes project in Abuja completed.
8. The railway lines now function every day along Ogun-Lagos, Kaduna-Abuja axis with new rails planned from maiduguri to PH.
9. All FMCG companies in Nigeria posted profits and growth in 2013 with no single company conducting mass sack as was the case in the last 3-5 years. Whenever this sector grows, The economy is on the path to greatness even if nobody accepts.
9. Other numerous projects too many to mention on this blog for lack of time and space.

Overall, I am very bullish that Nigeria will continue on the path to growth and even be among top 30-50 economies in the world by 2020 if all of the politicians outside government can join hands with the Federal government to focus on dealing with all its challenges.
While it can and should be better than it is now, its only rationale to close by saying...So far So good.

Could Oil deposits in Chad Basin be the REAL reason behind Boko Haram?

There is no gainsaying the fact that no reasonable and well meaning Nigerian is happy with the insurgency and its resultant tale of woes all around the North eastern Nigerian states or Yobe, Adamawa, Borno and lately Katsina and Kaduna.

Having been born and bred in Kaduna, I know religious and ethnic strife is common place between the Northern and Southern Kaduna Indigenes, Religious riots between Radical Islamic elements and Christians is equally common place while political skirmishes also happens every political season which is approximately spaced between 3-4 years.

However, The Boko Haram insurgency has come with a different myth and quickly evolving to be hydra headed with no clear focus on who is targeted. Its been the turn of students, military officers, police, politicians, Muslim faithfuls, civilian vigilante groups, market men, travelers, e.t.c

Everyday I have given myself to hard thoughts around what could be the end game for these terrorist with special interest as to their level of sophistication of armory and their sustainability quotient which has clearly bewildered every security analyst around the globe.

For the sake of argument, lets say the group is religiously driven and really inherent on stamping the Islamic faith and Sharia law across the northern states of Nigeria and beyond, but the truth is that the prospect of that happening in the next 50 years will be resulting to an excercise in futility & like a camel passing through the eyes of the middle! the truth is the average northern child is now Boko Kwarai (learned in the western educational system is the best) at least to the primary 6 level which has helped formulate their liberal psyche with full help of mostly western origin teachers and southern origin NYSC corp members since majpority of public schools in the north rely on NYSC as a source of teaching resource; that been said, it will be a hard time to migrate back to less liberal ways as proposed by the insurgents. This ultimately means there will be an internal clash of ideals between Boko Haram & Boko Kwarai.

Secondly, Boko Haram does not offer any spiritual ideals that speaks to noble slamic virtues like Zakat, respect for Old and weak, The sect has continued to kill and maim muslims during prayer sessions as witnessed in Kano and in the holy ramadan season last year in Maiduguri.

Thirdly, The number of aliens already arrested and killed in the military raids on Sambisa forest points to the fact their is a clear regional collaboration between various terrorist network with even an international colouration to the sourcing of their funding, personnel training and weaponry.

Fouthly, The average northerner may live below the poverty line but that does not take away the fact that they do enjoy life (albeit on the small economic scale), family, camaraderie and good neighborliness. This much I can validate from the over 23 years I spent living, farming, schooling and working in Zaria, Kaduna states and traveling on many occasions to Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Jos, Katsina, Bauchi e.t.c.

What has come to me as a conclusion is that following the theory of constant strife for resources that has been the bane of African Nations, and drawing from experiences in South Sudan, Liberia, Sierra leone, Libya and Syria, Its reasonable to say that Boko Haram may be more than terrorism & tending more towards resource harnessing and balkanization for pure economic interest by the western powers and the emerging pseudo democratic states like Russia, Turkey and China.

The plot as described above seems to be supported by the recent harnessing of Crimea against every sensibility of International due process by Russia, Turkish airline moving weapons to northern Nigeria via Aminu Kano International airport, Chinese recent interest in the OML in Nigeria by acquisition of Addax petroleum, Plateuing of the Niger deltan oil reserves by over 10% and the un-explored deposits verified in the Chad Basin.

The intent will be to sustain the tempo of the killing and property destruction to the extent that Nigeria will have to call for external support in light of aggravated danger and shortage in resources; The powers that be will then come in and position a ground force military presence in the region with a full economic no-go-area for the Nigerian government at the center. Subsequently, efforts will be put to re-start the Niger delta militancy and get government assume the case of BH is now second place.

With this line of reasoning, I call on the Nigerian Government to step change their strategy towards the war against Boko Haram, Initiate OPL and OML for the oil in the Chad Basin and establish strong military command in the entire North east to forestall the current deadly swate of BH on our brothers in the north eastern Nigeria. Lets stand up to any form of neo-colonization and feigned "help" from the west or any other powerful country.

This is our country, the oil in the chad basin must NEVER be a reason to slaughter over 4000 promising souls in just 4 years with over half a million displaced. In actual fact,, No economic prospect is good enough reason to waste a single human life. To all those that have lost a lost one in the BH madness, I say with all sense of respect in Hausa: "Allah ya Jikan su...Ya kuma basu zamman Aljannah...Amin"

Let Rally round our troops facing Boko Haram...They are fighting for Nigeria!

The killings of 43 Yobe school children in the early mornings of Tuesday 25th Feb 2014 has come as a very real injury to the hearts of every peace loving Nigerian given the fact that Nigeria has seen near uncountable and gruesome incidence in the hands of this cowards where the very unfortunate residents of the North eastern states of Borno, Adamawa and kebbi continue to suffer loss of lives, properties and means of livelihood.

The death of this ambitious young people who defiled the real threat of BH to pursue their dreams by geting education is really very unfortunate and I join all well meaning Nigerians to pray for the families affected and their loved ones for divine fortitude to bear the loss!

Its no doubt that we have an election season ahead and as such we expect various strategies by the political class to gain upper hand in the minds of the electorates but some happenings clearly go beyond the whimsical and rambunctious swash buckling that characterizes politics anywhere in the world.

Its a pity that the issue at hand which calls for sober reflection and remorseful evaluation of what the long term solutions to this challenges of security poses to us as a nation, All we get to read are twitter handles of Trojans like Omojuwa, Elrufai and Ayourb using this as another opportunity to slander the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I humbly appeal to every one of us citizens of this great country especially the twitter warriors of the political opposition in Nigeria to emulate leading democracies of this world by rallying round our troops in North Eastern Nigerian confrontation with Boko Haram irrespective of their mistakes, action and inactions? Anytime their is a war situation, there are collateral damages and the bidy counts are even worse when the rules of combat and military engagement is never going to be followed by the Boko Haram sect.

These military guys have families and they are just circumstantial players in this war on terrorism, Many of them are muslims but forced to take very difficult decision is the uncertain line of fire from a faceless enemy who adopt the most undetectable guises and operate in the most un-conventional rules of engagement. They may make some unpopular decisions and even some mistakes but they are there because of all of us and their success is our safety and ability to sleep again with two eyes closed.

In America, They easily forgive war mistakes by their troops and rally round them evern when they engage in unfair tactics of war in places like Afghanistan and PAkistan. Its a very difficult task when you fight an unknown and dangerously equipped enemy heavily loaded with Narco-terrorist funding from Libya, Al-Qaeda, Mali and even local political interests & still have to spend useful strategic planning time to do public relations to the people who should ordinarily understand the uncommon challenges been faced at the battle front. Our troops in Bama and other parts of this war really deserve a better from me and every other Nigerian.

A university friend of mine posted on his twitter handle that the solution of the Boko Haram menace lies with the governors of the North working together and I just laughed & wondered why people never learn from history. How can we believe the governors of the north can solve Boko Haram when their actions and inactions really brought us into this mess in the first place. If they had the solutions, the FGN never really needed to declare states of emergency as a remedy when the local and state governments where over  ran by the rampaging forces of the evil terrorists.

Another major worry is that majority of the good citizens and twitter warrior who chastize GEJ with scorpion like messages and tweets will never offer one single time based objective and realistic solution to the Boko haram menace.

The Other day I has an engagement with Nigeria's rabble rouser number 1, Femi Fani Kayode on twitter and he very quickly insulted me for asking him to propose some fresh insight into how he beleives the government can resolve the BH Imbroglio. This is really very worrying that people who criticize every single approach of the President cannot fathom a better plan to put forward? Is this how they will defeat BH when they take over the reins of power? On Twitter? On Facebook? In company of defecting and noisy governors? on The various propaganda media channels? On the front pages of national Newspapers? In Boudillion Avenue? On Sahara reporter? Why slander GEJ? Why slander the members of the Nigerian Armed Forces fighting to stem this tide of terrorism? Are the soldiers fighting for GEJ or for Nigerians? If the Forces of BH over-run the Nigerian troops, who looses? Are the troops not husbands, Fathers, Uncles to regular everyday Nigerians like us? Why do we chastise every single mistake they maske? Who ever said fighting terrorism was an easy task? Why do you think America is pulling out of Afghanistan after over 10 years of fruitless war with best drone technology, loss of thousands of troops and billions of dollars? Do we know where the real Boko Haram maybe...I am noto sure but dont be surprised if the Governors of the North East end up knowing more than they are telling us today. Can we guarantee this will not be a replica of the Osama Bin Laden found near the Military base in Karachi very close to the government of the day in that city state., Near the government houses where this governors you are asking to solve the problems sit.

Rallying round our troops is a first morale booster they need to stand in harms way on our behalf and win the war, Lets start fund raisers for them, Take care of the children of allof them that loose their lives in battle, guarantee them exceptional priviledges upon disengagement from the force e.t.c. I equally beleive we need a lot technology in the war against BH than coventional weaponry, Have we considered planting highly paid spies in the midst of the terrorists to gather intelligence to create mutiny from within their camps, Have we considered reviewing the bank accounts of transactions in the north East with special tracking for irregular fund movements? Have we considered selling maximum liters of fuel selleable to cars in the entire north east and only to registered drivers with ID in Borno, Kebbi & Adamawa states to cripple the Logistics capability of these terrorist? Ideas. Ideas. Ideas.

This is a war of terror on all Nigerians and not just the inhabitants of the North Eastern Nigerian even though they are in the face of it with direct impact, But as an Igbo adage says: When one finger touches plam oil, it goes round to all the fingers. This BH war is a Nigerian war and so please help me ask the @Omojuwas and @Ayourb of this world to propose real time based practical solutions to tackling BH and lets see whether govt will implement it or not!

I HUMBLY SUBMIT THUS, NIGERIANS IRRESPECTIVE OF RACE, RELIGION, COLOUR AND POLITICS  MUST RALLY ROUND OUR TROOPS, THEY ARE NOT FIGHTING TO SAVE GEJ, THEY ARE FIGHTING TO SAVE ALL OF US FROM THIS COMMON ENEMY...BOKO HARAM

Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
